The art of a good first message (and a few to borrow).
What to put in your first note to me, what to leave out, and three examples you’re welcome to copy. Booking should take a few messages, not a few days.
By Juliette Loren

Most first messages I get are lovely. A few are just “hey.” I’ll still answer, but we’ll spend three more messages finding out what you could have told me in one. Here’s how to skip all that.
What to include
Four things are plenty to begin:

- Your name or alias. Something I can call you.
- How I should reply. Text, WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram is my preferred way. Tell me which one you use and include your number or username. Email works too; just check your spam folder for my reply.
- Your city and possible dates. Sacramento, the Bay Area or Las Vegas, and roughly when.
- The kind of time you have in mind. Ninety minutes, a dinner date, a longer evening. My Rates page lists every length by city.
That’s it. You don’t need a perfect opening line. I read every note myself and usually reply within minutes.
What to leave out
- Identification and sensitive documents. Please don’t send ID, financial information, a home address or anything sensitive in a first message or through the website form. If screening needs anything, I’ll tell you privately what and how.
- Explicit requests. Keep first contact to planning. I’m a model offering my time and social companionship only; sexual services are not offered.
- Questions the site already answers. Rates, deposits and etiquette are all written down. Reading Before Our Date first makes the whole conversation shorter and sweeter.

Three you can borrow
“Hi Juliette, I’m Daniel. I’d love to take you to dinner in Sacramento on a Friday in November, for about three hours. Text me back at this number. I’ve read Before Our Date.”
“Hello! Michael here, visiting San Francisco the week of the 14th. Hoping for 90 minutes one evening. WhatsApp is best for me. Is a quick FaceTime first possible?”
“Hi, I’m new to this and a little nervous, so I’ll keep it simple: I’m Sam, I’m in Las Vegas the 18th and 19th, and I’d like two hours. Email me back, please.”
Notice what they have in common: who, where, when, how long and how to reply. Nervous is fine, by the way. Say so, and we’ll go at your pace.
Then what?
I’ll reply the way you asked. Screening is required before a first meeting, and I’ll explain privately what I need. If you’d like to see me first, FaceTime with me is free. Once I’ve accepted our plans, a 30% reservation deposit holds our time. The rest of the steps are in our first date, from hello to goodbye.
If your dates are close, send your note and follow it with a brief text to (702) 753-9752.

Writing to me doesn’t commit you to anything. Nothing is reserved until we’ve talked and I’ve accepted our plans.
